Are You Cleaning Your House Thoroughly?

Blog

When you were a child, did you know that spring cleaning would happen as soon as winter was over? Maybe that didn't happen, but you have always thought of spring as the best time to clean your house from top to bottom. That might be especially true if you will be hosting friends and family members in your home. After all, even if you have a child coming home from college, you want your house to look extra nice, right? And, if your in-laws are coming, you'll probably step the cleaning up a notch. Whatever the scenario, from arranging a cleaning schedule that includes window blind cleaning to getting your family to help, here are some ideas.

Start With The Family Pitching In — Be honest with yourself when you consider the following question.  Will I get more accomplished by myself, or will it be great to have the rest of the family give me a helping hand to clean this house? If the answer means you'll be cleaning your house by yourself, consider getting the job done while kids are at school.. After all, you'll be able to do a lot of work without any distractions from the kids, won't you?

If the answer to your question means you'll ask for help from family members, think of making a detailed poster chart that includes everything that needs to be cleaned. Then have family members write their names next to the chores they prefer to accomplish. If nobody signs up for certain things, say bathroom duty, divide that chore up. For example, in one bathroom, somebody can clean the tub and toilet while somebody else cleans the sink and floors. Then reverse the duties in other bathrooms. You get the picture, right?

Pay Attention to Detail Cleaning — If you want the assurance that your home will be thoroughly clean, think of writing down even little details that could be missed. For example, it's obvious that floors might be dirty, and it's probably even obvious that kitchen cabinets need to be wiped clean. However, if might not be apparent that your window blinds need to be cleaned. So, write that chore down on your poster.

If you're doing the window blind cleaning yourself, consider taking two steps to do that job. If someone else in the family is doing that chore, he or she might need some instruction. Here's an easy way to get the job of window blind cleaning done. First, start with a feather duster or with a hand tool that is designed especially for cleaning window blinds. You'll probably have to shake the dust out a bit. Once the window blinds have been thoroughly dusted, consider going over each one with a damp cloth and a gentle cleanser. Consider the job done! If you want to hand the job off to someone else, consider companies like A+ Cleaning Service

Once your house is thoroughly cleaned, consider using a specific time each week to maintain the nice look you have accomplished.

I was able to find an excellent cleaning service that really took their job seriously, and they worked hard to make sure that I had everything I needed. Within a few appointments, my home was like new, and I knew that I owed it all to them.
