#1 Use Neutral Floor Cleaners
To start with, you may need to change the chemicals you use to clean your floor. You should only use chemicals to clean your floor that are neutral. That means that they have a neutral pH level or are a solvent. Also, read the label before you clean and make sure that it is safe to use on wax floors. #2 Clean With Microfiber
When you have a waxed floor, you don't need to always mop or sweep your floor. Use a floor map with a dry microfiber cloth on it. Microfiber is great for cleaning waxed floors. #3 Keep Your Equipment Clean
Make sure that you keep all the equipment that you use to clean your newly wax floors clean. Clean out your mop while you are mopping and don't every use dirty water to clean with. Wipe down your vacuum cleaner and make sure that it is clean. Rinse out your broom to get rid of debris. Don't allow particles to build up on your cleaning equipment; that could wear down the wax coating on your floor.
#4 Do Touch-Ups
If there are areas of your floor that get more traffic than the rest of your home, you can do touch-ups in between major wax jobs. You can apply a quick coat of wax on your own to areas that get a lot of traffic. This will help your high traffic areas look as great as your low traffic areas.
